 'Right from the start of the project I felt listened to, understood and, more importantly, never rushed. Julia was passionate about her work and very flexible when we wanted to make changes or add something new. She sent numerous ideas on how to utilise the space to best suit our lifestyle (four kids and a dog!) and how to incorporate the right plant colours so it became a natural extension of the house and suited our personalities.

Knowing nothing about plants or landscaping, we were never made to feel we weren't part of the project, rather more gently encouraged to be involved. We had many giggles on the way, between frost, snow and lots of muddy puddles, but coffee got us through it all.

I couldn't be more pleased with the outcome and can't wait to start enjoying it when summer finally arrives. We have the perfect spot for the late day sun, a fabulous dining area and hot tub for my ageing husband!! We can already see the trees and plants growing and the meadow area is going to be stunning.

I highly recommend Julia at Hoe, whether your project is small or large, her desire to make you happy is paramount.'

We wanted to transform our garden from a makeshift mini football pitch into a space that we could use and enjoy.  Julia gave us several options and design plans and after much consideration we agreed on the plan we liked the most.  Together with the landscapers , Julia has created the most wonderful garden with stunning planting, a beautiful outdoor seating area and even a planter for growing vegetables. We are absolutely thrilled with the results and are looking forward to spending time in it.

The whole process from brief, design and execution was very professional and also enjoyable.  Julia is very responsive and also knowledgeable and put a huge amount of time and effort into sourcing the right materials and plants.   Her sense of humour made the whole experience a pleasure.  We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her.

I used Julia at Hoe last year just before lockdown to help redesign my Garden.

I have a large garden which consisted of just grass and very difficult soil as i live on a clay belt. 

Julia designed large borders and helped by choosing plants appropriate for the soil and the sun/shade.

A month later we went into lockdown and she took any worry I had by communicating and ordering all the plants sorting the delivery and planting. 

It was a difficult task at such a challenging time.

In the winter, she visited the site again and advised on further planting for this summer.

I highly recommend Julia : she has made sense of an awkward site which has enabled me to now really enjoy my garden.

It was an absolute delight to work with Julia from concept to completion of our garden redesign project in Streatham.

Julia's knowledge and attention to detail along with her lovely nature made the project so enjoyable and we had complete trust in her.

Her design was just what we had envisaged and where we have failed in the past was choosing the right plants. This is where Julia's knowledge and expertise came in. She created a beautiful planting plan, accompanied us to the nursery to choose the larger plants and sourced the rest for us. We struggled to find someone to come up with a  lighting plan and so Julia took this on board as well and we have an amazing night time look to enjoy our garden at all hours.
